IT is a specific branch of high tech involving software and hardware.
The H1B visas involved here are largely for engineers, not phone
jockeys. Why pay to move a phone jockey halfway around the world?
Technical Support is the answering of questions and logistical support
for the users of ALL technologies, including IT.

>Man, thats awesome, Americans answering phones for Americans.
>
>Perhaps more companies should do this and if American employees make
>more, they will spend more on these companies, which means more money
>in America for Americans. How did they ever figure this out?
>
>Dang, whats next? Are they going to have Americans build our houses
>too? Would that put more money in the pockets of Americans who would
>buy property here and contribute to the tax base more?
>
>So let me get this right, you are saying if we use Americans to do our
>work, that money stays here and the taxes from that money would help
>other Americans in need? Dang, that must have been tough to figure
>out.
>
>I bet if Americans did more manufacturing we would have higher quality
>products not laced with lead too....
>
>If this catches on, Americans will do things to help America first.
>Damn, that would be cool.
